Which Claude plan do I need?

Any paid plan works — Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise. Custom MCP connectors are not available on the free plan.

Where do I find my MCP connection URL?

In your Stratafy workspace, go to Settings → API Keys. Your MCP URL includes the API key as a query parameter.

What's the difference between the connector and the skill?

The connector gives Claude access to your Stratafy workspace tools (creating strategies, risks, etc.). The skill teaches Claude how to think about strategy — coaching you through building strategy from first principles. You need both for the full experience.

Can I use Stratafy with Claude Code instead?

Yes. For Claude Code, add Stratafy as an MCP server in your project configuration and place the skill files in .claude/skills/. See the skill detail page for Claude Code installation instructions.

The connector isn't showing any tools — what's wrong?

Check that your MCP URL is correct and includes the api_key parameter. Try removing and re-adding the connector. If the issue persists, verify your API key is active in your Stratafy workspace settings.

Do I need to reinstall the skill after updates?

Skills are versioned. When a new version is available, you can download the updated zip and re-upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills.

Part 1: Connect Stratafy

Add Stratafy as a custom MCP connector in Claude Desktop so Claude can read and write to your strategic workspace.

Open Settings

Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner of Claude Desktop, then select Settings (or press ⌘ ,).

Go to Connectors

In the Settings sidebar, click Connectors.

Add Custom Connector

Scroll to the bottom of the Connectors page and click Add custom connector.

Enter Your Connection Details

Fill in the connector form:

Name: Stratafy
Remote MCP server URL: Your Stratafy MCP URL with API key included — find this in your workspace settings under API Keys

The URL format includes your API key as a query parameter:

https://stratafy.ai/api/mcp?api_key=sk_mcp_your_key_here

Click Add to save the connector.

The connector gives Claude access to your workspace tools. The skill teaches Claude how to think strategically — coaching you through building strategy from first principles.

In Claude Desktop, go to Settings → Capabilities → Skills.
Click Add, then select Upload a skill.
Upload the downloaded zip file.
The skill activates automatically when you discuss strategy topics.
